Here is my picture using circles done for a Lynnette's photo challenge.

Everyone who knows me or has been to my house knows I love candles .. I have these candles in front of my fireplace .. there are 12 holders in total .. it is really nice when they are all lit up.

I hate messes ..

I woke up this morning too see stuff everywhere from the Justin from the night before. Most nights I am in bed before him. He likes to stay up late.

I grabbed all his stuff that he had laying around on the main floor and piled it here .. for him .. to put away when he gets home from school.

I am sure one day I will miss seeing this mess everywhere and wish I could have that back .. but right now .. NOPE!!! It makes my blood boil.

Oh Paws .. he is so flippin' cute somedays :-)

This is is favorite place to be .. the back of the couch cushion. He sits and sleeps there all day. The cushion is all dented in from him .. as you can tell it is coming apart at the seams as well. I love how he uses his paw to open the curtain. I am not sure what he looks at out there .. this window faces our back yard and the CN train.

This is the other picture I took today. I tell ya .. I am really sick of the snow already and it is only January however, this big fluffy snow is what I love best. This pic was taken when I came home from work today.

I made this card for a Recycle PAK Challenge. The gold part of the card was from the inside of an envelope I received a Christmas card in. Thanks P ;-)

Justin is learning a new song to play on his guitar. I am really happy we bought him a guitar. He is learning to play his guitar by using the computer. I love sitting here and thinking .. hey I know that song - lol.

I am not a girly girl at all. I never used to like flowers. But since scrappin' I am so loving flowers. There are soo many to choose from .. I have tons of flowers .. but I like to take flowers like these ones that are on stems and take them apart. The are so nice when your take them apart .. so here are some I did yesterday at work. I was so totally bored .. went next door to the $store and saw some cute ones .. ended up passing the time at work taking them apart. Cant wait to see them in my Lo's, cards and altered stuff :-)

Today my picture is of the River Valley seen from downtown Edmonton. Canada Place (where I work) is right across the street and I hardly ever make it out to enjoy the scenery. I will have to make the time more often for sure!

"The Piles"

This is the first time in many many months that we have been caught up at work. Usually all 3 of these baskets are full of claims and predeterminations. We have 1 small pile of claims left to input/adjudicate tomorrow. Lets hope LOTS of mail comes in tomorrow or we will all be sitting there with nothing to do :-(

Me, personally, I would rather be busy then have nothing to do.

"Tetris"

Man, I LOVE this game. I could play it all night!

I am so focused that my eyes are glued to the computer screen .. most of the time I have tears running down my cheeks because I cant blink while playing - lol. Justin says that I am "hooked" and should get a life .. brat! lol

I just started playing about a week ago and have placed 1st 5 times which is pretty good .. I think ..

"Insulin Junkie"

Having diabetes SUCKS! It really does! The HIGHS ... the LOWS ...

I take insulin twice a day. In the morning I take 22 units and before bed I take 26 units.

I HATE needles! Imagine .. a diabetic who hates needles.

I have to poke myself with a needle that jets out of a pen like instrument to test my sugars. Then twice a day use this insulin pen and poke myself again! I have sooo many bruises on my body from these blasted needles!

I have had diabetes for 6 years now and it does not get better. Still to this day, my hands get all sweaty and I have to take a deep breathe before I am able to poke myself. Some days it can take me up to 5 minutes to get the nerve up to do it.

It really does SUCK!!!

Well ... not a pretty picture but this dam car has cost me more $$ in the last month then I care to think about .. it has been a thorn in my side for a long time now! The - parts under this hood cost more then the car!

In the last moth it has had the following work done to it:

- oil change
- oil filter
- tune up
- 2 thermostats
- flush cooling system
- 6 hose clamps
- cylinder head
- head gasket
- serpentine belt
- 2 radiator hoses
- wiper motor
and last but not least
- signal light bulb

I took this pic as my dad and Hal worked on replacing the rad hoses, wiper motor today at Manulife .. way to cold out side to work on the beast!

I dropped Justin off at his Hal's tonight and he just got a new record player. Yup .. a record player. So, we sat and listen to some records while I looked though all his CD's (some 350 CDs). I made a list of some songs l liked and came home to listen to them on You Tube :-)

I was on the phone with my friend Shelley .. she says "What the heck are you listening too?" I told her some of the songs and she started laughing at me. Telling me I have no taste in music. Especially the 80's music - lol. I cant help it ... I like what I like. I sat here and listen to music for about 3 1/2 hours. It was a total sing fest here .. right mom? right Roy? (yes, I had them on the phone as well at one point). Gotta Love IT!

This is the paper I wrote all the songs on so I didn't forget any 8-)

The beginning of Project 365. I am excited that I decided to do this now. It will be a great way to keep up with those small daily details I tend to forget :-)
