"Stair Step Fold" Card

I saw these cards on Split Coast and thought they were kinda neat .. so I played around a bit .. I think I'll try another one .. I have a few b-day cards to make this month. My picture is kinda dark .. you'd think I took it by candlelight - lol .. sorry about that but you get the idea.

TFL :-)

Here are the directions:

It's called either a Stair Step fold, or an Accordion fold, depending on the orientation of your project. This would be a Stair Step fold since it's landscape, but this fold can work either way - portrait or landscape.

  • Cut your cardstock to the size of 10.5 X 5.0 - if you want to stamp on this, now would be the time to do it.
  • Score your cardstock at 1.25" - 2.5" - 4.25", 6" and at 8.25" Now fold with hills and valleys (accordion style) making sure that the smallest (1.25" fold) is folded down, as this will be the front of your card) Once you look at the samples, you will see what I'm referring to.
  • Now here's the fun part...decorate with ANYTHING...punches, cut-outs, stickers...whatever your theme is, run with it.
These cards may be done in landscape or portrait orientation so 'step it up' and let your imagination run wild.

This card was done for Cindy's Kleenex Box Inspiration Challenge :-)

This card was done for a challenge to get your mojo back. You had to make anything you like just make something monochromatic using your favorite color .. the color you always come back to to get you mojo going again.

I seem to be using alot of butterflies lately but I love them.

My favorite color is chocolate brown and really any shade of brown.

Thanks for the challenge Trish ;-)

Crock Pot Recipe Card for recipe swap. I did Meatballs with Mushroom Gravy b/c well it is a great recipe!!! The meatballs are soo good :-)

I love this color combo :-) Not sure how well the little circle fit with the rest of the card but there was too much black space to leave it.
