Altered Frames
So .. the boxes were not going the way I wanted and I was not excited about making them. Paola suggested I make some of the frames I was making at Christmas time. Great Suggestion!!!! I made these 3 this afternoon. I went out and bought some more frames. I am so totally excited about making the frames. I really enjoyed making them at Christmas time and I am enjoying them again! Thanks a million for the suggestion Paola :-) TFL

Box - O - Cards
So, Trish and I are thinking of joining in a craft sale they are having at work.
I was thinking I would make these little boxes with cards in them. I made some like this at a crop I went to in February and thought they were really cute.
They are 3x3 cards.
This is my demo box.
I am still wondering if these would sell.
I did 4 cards for this box but it could fit 6 easily in the box.
So, I ask you ..
Do you think these would sell?
How much would you price them at?
4 or 6 cards?
Do you think they cards need to be more elaborate or does it work to keep them simple?
TFL and TIA for any advice you give :-)

TRI Shutter Card
I saw these cards on Split Coast and just had to try it out .. they are super easy to make .. but I found it difficult to do the embellishments ....
Here is my card.
Thanks for checking it out ladies :-)
Here is the card I saw and totally loved:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1351035?limit=last1
Here are the directions on making this card:
Start with a 12″ long piece of card stock that is 5 1/2″ tall. This size will fit into a standard invitation size envelope when all folded.
Score at 2″, 4″, 8″ and 10″
Turn the card stock and now measure 1 1/2″ in from the long side. Use your craft knife and make a slit starting at the 2″ score and bring it down to the 10″ score mark. Make sure to do this on BOTH long sides.

Grad 1999
Here are some pics from Dental Assisting Grad 1999.
I embossed the black paper and the butterflies.
I am thinking that I should add something more but cant think of what. I finished it last night and left it thinking I would add something but by this afternoon I still had not decided on anything. I guess if I think of something later on I'll add it.
Thanks For Looking.

Altered Coasters
We had a coaster swap awhile back and Lisa ended up not getting her coaster. Since I was hosting the swap and felt super bad that she had not received hers, I decided I would make one for her. I made these 2 and I liked both of them so I sent her both. She received them today so I am able to post them now :-) I am horrible at taking pics when I have used stickles .. sorry - lol Lisa's coaster theme was earthy colors (browns/greens) and something inspiring.

"Stair Step Fold" Card
I saw these cards on Split Coast and thought they were kinda neat .. so I played around a bit .. I think I'll try another one .. I have a few b-day cards to make this month. My picture is kinda dark .. you'd think I took it by candlelight - lol .. sorry about that but you get the idea.
TFL :-)
Here are the directions:
It's called either a Stair Step fold, or an Accordion fold, depending on the orientation of your project. This would be a Stair Step fold since it's landscape, but this fold can work either way - portrait or landscape.

- Cut your cardstock to the size of 10.5 X 5.0 - if you want to stamp on this, now would be the time to do it.
- Score your cardstock at 1.25" - 2.5" - 4.25", 6" and at 8.25" Now fold with hills and valleys (accordion style) making sure that the smallest (1.25" fold) is folded down, as this will be the front of your card) Once you look at the samples, you will see what I'm referring to.
- Now here's the fun part...decorate with ANYTHING...punches, cut-outs, stickers...whatever your theme is, run with it.

A Note of Thanks
Last card of the w/e. I used a cuddle bug embossing folder here and flipped it over and used the other side of the embossed image so it is indented.

Lights, Camera, Action! Challenge
I did this LO for Em's Lights, camera, action! Challenge. You have to incorporate the title of a movie or a line from a movie in your layout.
I have been thinking about this challenge all day.
I was headed to bed when I took one more look at Facebook to see what was going on there. I noticed my nephew Cody had been tagged in a picture which gave me a great idea for this challenge
See, I love Tom Cruise (ya ya I know what your gonna say). When I saw my nephew Cody in this picture I knew instantly which movie I was going to choose for this LO TON GUN of course.
Cody totally has the look down. I searched for a good half hour on the internet though Tom Cruise pictures til I found the one I knew I was looking for
Thanks Em for a great challenge
