Sunrise 28-04-09

I really love sunrise and sunset pictures. The last couple days I noticed they were really nice so I managed to grab a few pics from the car this morning on my way to work. These 2 are the only ones I liked. I find it hard to take pics involving the sun maybe b/c I have not really learned how to do it .. maybe I am using the wrong setting? I'll figure it out sooner or later .. in the meantime I will continue to try :-)

Visit to the Greenhouse

My mom and I went to Kuhlmann's this morning for their Spring Open House. It is great there. They have lots of great stuff. They are a little on the expensive side but it is a nice plan to hang out for a while. That flower chair .. my mom and I are planing to make our own this summer as they cost $99 + there ..

Up 2 a whole lotta nothing!

I have not really been doing much lately .. no LO's :-(

I got my jounalling spots swap done on the w/e and will post a pic soon ..

I wanna get to some LO's but I am hmm'ing and haa'ing in picture size.

On most of my LO's you will see only 1 maybe 2 pictures. The last one I really pushed it using four. I want to get more pics on a LO but I like to keep my Lo's simple and I like the pictures to be seen before the embellies.

Any hoot-n-annie .. off to see what kinda trouble I can get into tonight ;-)

OH boy!

Justin woke up Saturday (April 11/09) morning and said he was ready to take the test again. He had studied this time and wanted to go now.

Sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting was a good sign that he was on his way to passing the test. When I saw him get up and go over to the counter he flashed me a cheeky grin. I knew he passed and I knew things are going to be oh so much more difficult - lol. He wanted to drive immediately when we left the registries. I took him to an empty parking lot (that is where I spent my 1st days behind the wheel).

The 1st round of driving in the parking lot was good. He was so excited. He had a permagrin. He didn't need much direction. He knew what to do which kinda made me wonder where he learned it from. When I asked him, he said he learned to drive from race car video games. OH DEAR!! I knew he spent too much time in the arcade - lol

The 2nd round of driving we went back to the same parking lot .. this time we had my friend Shelley in the back seat. He was doing well again .. a little more cocky which I didnt like at all. There was another vehicle in the parking lot this time. A lady sitting there reading the paper or something. at one point Justin decided he needed to practicing backing up. Well .. everything was going well until he stepped on the gas and not the brake .. the fence was coming at us pretty fast and the tires on the gavel made that rushed sound .. YIKES! I did freak out a bit. That was the end round 2.

Gotta look into drivers Ed .. not sure how much of this I can handle - lol

Gophers

Driving through the Canadian Tire parking lot yesterday Trish pointed out a bunch of gophers in a small grassy area. There were tons of them. Today I decided to go back and get some pictures. I got out the car went slowly over to the area .. they all went down into their holes :-( I got tired of waiting around so I went back to the car. Then they came out again ... So I decided to stay parked along the side. Even though the car was running they stayed out .. I was able to get a few shots of them :-)

Yuppers ... I have the bug again and I am having fun!!!

I did this LO tonight of myself and Justin.

I was just about finished the LO when the phone rang. It was Trish. She said that instead of typing out my journalling why dont I write it out. Sounded like a good idea since I already had it all typed out. Well .. I forgot about the lack of spell check when handwriting something yourself - lol. I ended up re-writing it many many times .. waisting many many sheets of cardstock. Even in this copy I ended up using white out because I could not bring myself to write it out again.

Anyhoo ... I had fun tonight doing what I love to do.

Sorry about the bad picture .. everytime I use stickles the picture does not turn out well .. not sure what I am doing wrong ??

Swap Angel

I stepped in to be a swap angel for someone who was unable to do a swap she signed up for. It happens sometimes. She was to do deco squares. Thankfully there are not a ton of people in the swap. Doing deco squares means you have to do 4 per person. There are only 6 people so a total of 24 deco squares were done. They are all packed up and ready to be passed on the the hostess :-)

Grade 9 Grad LO

After 15 months .. this is the picture that got me wanting to scrap again :-)

I printed the picture onto transparency .. thought it would be kinda cool ..

Grade 9 Grad

I am so proud of you Justin.

I never made it to my grade 9 grad, so when you did and I was there to share this with you, I was oh so happy!! You may not know this but I had a mini breakdown in the back of the gym when you went up to the stage to get your certificate. My camera died just as I went to take your picture. I was crying, your dad felt so bad for not bringing his camera. I just wanted to capture this moment and I was soo disappointed I was not able to with a picture. I was so happy when I was able to finally obtain a picture of you and your friends after the grad that was taken by another parent.

I want so much more for you then what I had growing up. I made a lot of decisions early on in my life that were what was best for me at the time. When you were born, you made me rethink what I needed to be doing with my life. I set goals for our future. I went back to school, I worked some really crappy jobs and never gave up on the goals I set. I worked really hard to get to where we are today.

My wish for you is that you stay in school, you make goals for yourself, you live life to the fullest, you enjoy your childhood / teen years and most of all that you are happy.

Ex - Co-Workers flowers

Here are flowers my co-worker rec'd last week from our boss. She got them because she decided to take another job and leave me ALONE! What some people will do to get flowers eh!!! LOL .. jk jk jk. But she really did leave me .. for another job! How rude - lol. The flowers were really pretty :-)
