This card was done for a challenge to get your mojo back. You had to make anything you like just make something monochromatic using your favorite color .. the color you always come back to to get you mojo going again.

I seem to be using alot of butterflies lately but I love them.

My favorite color is chocolate brown and really any shade of brown.

"Buster"

This is my mom's furbaby Buster. He and my mom came over for a visit today. He is such a nerd. He was soooo camera shy it took forever to get a decent picture. He had never been over before and with the cats still at Hal's place he was allowed to come in. He was all over the place .. sniffing everywhere .. he even thought he would leave me a gift .. of thanks I guess for letting him come inside. I wont even tell you what the gift was!!! GROSS!!! I think that is why he was so camera shy .. he was embarrassed. Oh well .. we still love you buster :-)

Well .. here are 3 of 9 of the canvas's I did to hang on the wall. Let me tell you it is darn hard to try and hang these by yourself. I was trying to hold a level, a meter stick, and a pencil to try and mark the wall where I wanted to place the nail by myself and it was not going well at all. I know my limits so i had to stop before I got PO'd.

I only got 3 hung (and they don't even look straight in this picture) b/c I need help. I was hoping to get it done tonight but Justin has a friend over and they are doing other stuff.

I hope tomorrow to get the other 6 up.

I have this wooden frame .. from my mom a while back .. she was going to throw it out and I was like ... umm .. NO! I can do something with it.

I want to maybe distress it in some way and hang it on the wall.

My Other Obsession!

Every single morning I HAVE to weigh myself. Not sure why I am sooo obsessed with it! I hate what I see when I am on it. Why do I start my morning .. every morning like this????

I did it!!! I did It!!!

Usually I procrastinate forever when I want to buy something (that is not scrappy of course).

My sister picked me up from work today at 2:30 (yes, I ditched work 1.5 hours early) and we headed over to Sears who is having a sale on Treadmills.

We had a wonderful sales man names Kemal. He listened to my questions and recommended what he thought was the best for my budget. This one was on sale last weekend only and is regular price $1499.99. He said because it was only 2 days ago he would give it to me at the sale price it was on for which was $850.00. I thought .. K - not a bad deal. After awhile we left to "think" about it. I was sitting in the mall on a bench waiting for Tracy to come back. I pulled out the Sears flyer I happened to have in my purse. There was a treadmill in the flyer that looked exactly like the one I was looking at. Pull out the sheet I took from the store and sure enough it was the exact same one!!! For $749.99 not $850.00.

So off we went back to Sears, I haul out the flyer .. he looks into it and sure enough .. 2 days ago it was $749.99 .. his mistake. So, he sold it to me for $749.99 :-)

I am excited .. I got the treadmill for half price :-) YAY! I have to wait until Feb 4th to pick it up now .. but soon .. I will have my new treadmill :-)

Crock Pot Recipe Card for recipe swap. I did Meatballs with Mushroom Gravy b/c well it is a great recipe!!! The meatballs are soo good :-)

I love this color combo :-) Not sure how well the little circle fit with the rest of the card but there was too much black space to leave it.

My Creative Mess :-)

Gotta love it when you have an entire afternoon available to play.

Today, I worked on my Crock Pot Recipe Swap .. I never leave it this late .. it is due in early Feb. Usually I am done right away and have it mailed off. Oh well .. it will be going postal in the morning :-)

Everyone who knows me or has been to my house knows I love candles .. I have these candles in front of my fireplace .. there are 12 holders in total .. it is really nice when they are all lit up.

I hate messes ..

I woke up this morning too see stuff everywhere from the Justin from the night before. Most nights I am in bed before him. He likes to stay up late.

I grabbed all his stuff that he had laying around on the main floor and piled it here .. for him .. to put away when he gets home from school.

I am sure one day I will miss seeing this mess everywhere and wish I could have that back .. but right now .. NOPE!!! It makes my blood boil.

Oh Paws .. he is so flippin' cute somedays :-)

This is is favorite place to be .. the back of the couch cushion. He sits and sleeps there all day. The cushion is all dented in from him .. as you can tell it is coming apart at the seams as well. I love how he uses his paw to open the curtain. I am not sure what he looks at out there .. this window faces our back yard and the CN train.

Justin is learning a new song to play on his guitar. I am really happy we bought him a guitar. He is learning to play his guitar by using the computer. I love sitting here and thinking .. hey I know that song - lol.

I am not a girly girl at all. I never used to like flowers. But since scrappin' I am so loving flowers. There are soo many to choose from .. I have tons of flowers .. but I like to take flowers like these ones that are on stems and take them apart. The are so nice when your take them apart .. so here are some I did yesterday at work. I was so totally bored .. went next door to the $store and saw some cute ones .. ended up passing the time at work taking them apart. Cant wait to see them in my Lo's, cards and altered stuff :-)

"The Piles"

This is the first time in many many months that we have been caught up at work. Usually all 3 of these baskets are full of claims and predeterminations. We have 1 small pile of claims left to input/adjudicate tomorrow. Lets hope LOTS of mail comes in tomorrow or we will all be sitting there with nothing to do :-(

Me, personally, I would rather be busy then have nothing to do.

"Tetris"

I am so focused that my eyes are glued to the computer screen .. most of the time I have tears running down my cheeks because I cant blink while playing - lol. Justin says that I am "hooked" and should get a life .. brat! lol

"Insulin Junkie"

Having diabetes SUCKS! It really does! The HIGHS ... the LOWS ...

I take insulin twice a day. In the morning I take 22 units and before bed I take 26 units.

I HATE needles! Imagine .. a diabetic who hates needles.

I have to poke myself with a needle that jets out of a pen like instrument to test my sugars. Then twice a day use this insulin pen and poke myself again! I have sooo many bruises on my body from these blasted needles!

I have had diabetes for 6 years now and it does not get better. Still to this day, my hands get all sweaty and I have to take a deep breathe before I am able to poke myself. Some days it can take me up to 5 minutes to get the nerve up to do it.

It really does SUCK!!!

Well ... not a pretty picture but this dam car has cost me more $$ in the last month then I care to think about .. it has been a thorn in my side for a long time now! The - parts under this hood cost more then the car!

In the last moth it has had the following work done to it:

- oil change
- oil filter
- tune up
- 2 thermostats
- flush cooling system
- 6 hose clamps
- cylinder head
- head gasket
- serpentine belt
- 2 radiator hoses
- wiper motor
and last but not least
- signal light bulb

I took this pic as my dad and Hal worked on replacing the rad hoses, wiper motor today at Manulife .. way to cold out side to work on the beast!

I dropped Justin off at his Hal's tonight and he just got a new record player. Yup .. a record player. So, we sat and listen to some records while I looked though all his CD's (some 350 CDs). I made a list of some songs l liked and came home to listen to them on You Tube :-)

I was on the phone with my friend Shelley .. she says "What the heck are you listening too?" I told her some of the songs and she started laughing at me. Telling me I have no taste in music. Especially the 80's music - lol. I cant help it ... I like what I like. I sat here and listen to music for about 3 1/2 hours. It was a total sing fest here .. right mom? right Roy? (yes, I had them on the phone as well at one point). Gotta Love IT!

This is the paper I wrote all the songs on so I didn't forget any 8-)
